KAEFER Energy has been awarded a major contract at Mongstad

Apr 19, 2017

Statoil assigns KAEFER Energy a major contract for ISS (Insulation, Surface Protection, Scaffolding) maintenance at the Mongstad plant in Norway. The contract with an expected value of NOK 300 million will last for a two-year period.

With this new contract, KAEFER Energy extends its already extensive commitment within ISS maintenance work for Statoil. In 2010, KAEFER Energy took over all the ISS activities in the fields Troll, Åsgard and Kristin, and was awarded a similar contract for the Kårstø plant in 2014. These long-term contracts are a solid and strategically important foundation for KAEFER’s commitment in Norway.

During the past ten years, KAEFER has also carried out extensive contracts for Statoil at Mongstad for several periods.

"These contracts have given KAEFER the opportunity to demonstrate our great ability to perform and the quality of our services and solutions," says Vice President of Business Development Sigve Aabø.

The work at Mongstad will already start in May and is going to employ around 170 people for two years to come.
